Apologies apologies!
Due to the Olympics and life craziness, I am not able to get out a Survivor entry on last night’s episode…one may not be forthcoming until next week! I have the episode safely tucked away on the ol’ DVR and will get to it soon.
So far, I don’t know the result, but I can tell you that I will try to avoid finding out who was voted off, although through life, I have had some funny movie and TV spoilers!
In the meantime, if you want to comment, please share a story of a time when someone ruined an ending or a result for you if you missed something! (And don’t cite my Olympic blog entries as spoilers…Ha ha!)

The spoiler that comes to mind occurred in June 1980. I had been standing in line with my family outside one of those grand old movie houses for a couple of hours in the heat. We were waiting to see “The Empire Strikes Back.” As the previous showing ended and people were leaving the theater, one young man thought it was his responsibility to make sure everyone waiting in the line was informed that Darth Vader was Luke’s father – Arrrrrrgh!!! Would have liked to freeze him in carbonite and give him to Jabba the Hutt.
@HOLLIE: ARGH! That could be the worst spoiler ever. I’m sure there are others out there who had the same ‘argh-moment’! Someone was telling me about The Sixth Sense once before I had seen it, and they said, “I never would have guessed that ___ was a ___” (I won’t fill in the blanks in case someone reading has not seen it)…but it KILLED ME! Now, I laugh at it, but then…not so much.
I’ll keep it Survivor related. Back in the first season’s finale, Gambo gave the results on air that Hatch won at about 5 pm local time, 2 hours before it was set to air. Gambo is a local sports radio talk show host that’s originally from NY. He got the results from a buddy there and thought it would be funny to spoil it for everyone listening. At the time I thought it was a bit funny since I didn’t watch season one. As soon as he said it, there were screams in the background and the next hour of the show had some entertaining calls from irate listeners.
@BRAD: Argh!
